​Everyone has a dream, but not everyone chases after it...

I have spent many years working with rescues and shelters giving huskies a second chance by teaching them to work as a team through dog sledding.  Now we are embarking on the Goliath of mushing, the Yukon Quest!  I have always loved huskies and always dreamed of competing in the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest.  Over the last few years I have spent a great deal of time learning, training, and competing in various eastcoast dryland dogsled races (there isn't much snow in Durham, NC).

In 2010, I spent a few days with Iditarod veteran Tim Osmar, making sure I could camp and live off of a sled, the hook was sunk.  In 2011 and 2012, I worked around various mushers and in 2013 completed the Qualifiers needed for 1000 mile races. I have spayed, neutered and rehomed over 40 dogs at our personal expense.

We now have purchased a cabin in Chatanika, Alaska near Eagle Summit to train at full time!  
I would like to take the dogs on the next leap... Unfortunately, this doesn't come cheap, and I need all the support I can get.
